It stays in your Outbox until the recipient opens and reads it. Then it goes in your Sent Messages box. It's a way of showing you if the message has been opened or not.

Welcome to the forum tepidwalker. Looks to me a lot like a post. What the fuck? This site doesn't do email. If you are talking about PMs you have to earn that.

Can someone explain why I am always and constantly getting logged out while navigating the site?
